Our Little Shamrock...

...is THIS big today!

Per thenestbaby.com, as I move into the second trimester, Shamrock is shifting into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of Shamrocks systems are fully formed.

Can't believe that next week I'll be in the second trimester. Wow, this is going a lot faster than I expected!

Under 200 Baby!

Today I ventured out of the 200's and into the 100's.

That's right. Only 199 more days until my due date. YAY!

I can't believe how fast this is going by for us. Last night we were chatting and I casually said, "Yeah, I think I'll probably actually end up going in the end of February." Randy looks at me and says, "Me too...what's that birthstone again?"

I think he just wants to make sure it's not a diamond!

One more week until 2nd tri starts. Can't wait!

PS. Sweetie, it's an amethyst...rest easy.

Our Little Shamrock...

...is THIS big today!

Per thenestbaby.com, Shamrock currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Baby or Bloat?

This morning I woke up to discover a strange sight in the belly area. Now, I believe that 10 weeks is entirely too early for me to be showing...but this is some craziness! Where did this come from?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this may be the early makings of the baby bump...or maybe I should lay off the sandwiches?

It sure would make me feel better if I actually looked pregnant and not just like Dunkin' Donuts is my Best Friend!

What do you think? Baby? or Bloat?

Our Little Shamrock...

...is THIS big today!

Per thenestbaby.com Shamrock's bones and cartilage are starting to form and vital organs are beginning to function. Shamrock is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

(How you go from an olive to a prune - quite possibly the ugliest fruit I've ever seen - is beyond me!)

(Also, Randy has taken to calling Shamrock "Jr." It's pretty cute.)

29 Years...

Happy Birthday to Randy!

Yesterday my wonderful husband turned 29 years old. One step closer to 30. WOW.

He'll probably hurt me for posting this picture too...but it is too perfect pass up.

Happy Birthday baby, I love you.

Appointment #2

Well, there's not much to report today at all. Kind of bummed actually.

We didn't get another ultrasound (which is what I was MOST looking forward to!). Instead it was a lot of question and answer time, review of optional testing and that's about it.

::sigh::

Our next appointment is September 5th. I will officially be in the 2nd trimester then! YAY!

Happy Third Birthday Skittles!

Friday was Skittle's third birthday. It doesn't seem possible that we've had her for three years already!

Being who we are, Randy picked up a birthday cake from the local pet bakery for her to share with her friend Jackie - O.

Needless to say, we had two VERY hyper pups on our hands, but Skittles was in heaven. Happy Birthday to our little cuddle bunny!

Our Little Shamrock...

...is THIS big today!

Per thenestbaby.com, Shamrock is a little embryo and has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. (We actually heard this already at 7 weeks!!) With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!

This Friday is our "official" first appointment. Can't wait!
